This portrait is of Helaku (“sunny day”), a PMU foal whose mother was luckily rescued while still pregnant, along with 11 other mares. Helaku was so special to the people who rescued all 11 horses, that they could not adopt him out to another home, and to this day are still in awe by his calm demeanor and willingness to please.
