For every day is a gift; live it as such

My beloved Sam was my greatest teacher. From the age of 2, he had developed severe issues with his hooves, and for the following 11 years, I researched and tried everything to help him become and stay sound…every day with him was a gift, every single day. The last year of his life was the longest period of soundness he’d ever had. I realized that in addition to his supplements, living life with softer, sandy footing, riding along the coast and swimming in the salt water helped in his healing.
