The one thing we need, above all else, is LOVE.
Oscar, one of my rescued horses, came from a feedlot in Canada at the young age of 2.5 months old. He imprinted to me then and would stand at the gate and call to me instead of going to hang with the other horses in my herd. Even though he eventually learned to be a horse, I’m still his “mom”. He is so expressive and a true “gentle giant”, weighing 2000lbs on a light day. Oscar is also the star of my first children’s book.
